What's in a Name?: The Astronomy Behind Harry Potter Character Names

Although this is primarily an astronomy lesson, there is crossover into Language Arts. The content discusses the constellations that inspired certain characters in the Harry Potter books, the word origins of the names, and their positions in the night sky. Some of the questions can only be answered by readers of the books, but the majority of them do not require prior knowledge of the series. It's an extensive lesson that will cover more than one class session for many students.
